A few years ago, I worked in a distribution warehouse that boxed extension cords. I became familiar with the different people I worked with and developed a few friendships. One of the young men I worked with was named Eric and we called him "E". He was nice at times and I would talk to him while we were working together or passing in the warehouse.
One day, we were unloading a trailer together. After some small talk, he looked at me seriously and began pouring his heart out about his girlfriend. I could see it on his face that what he was telling me bothered me but kept his emotions down. He told me the problems they had and how they had a little girl together. It was almost like he wanted me to give him some advice. All I could muster up was, "Hang in there". It was maybe a few weeks later that I saw on the news where he had took the life of his girlfriend, her mom and himself. I felt really bad. This kid had his whole life ahead of him. Bottom line is I could have witnessed to him and told him about Jesus. Maybe even prayed with him. I don't know for sure if he would have killed his family and himself if I would have witnessed but I didn't even try to talk with him.
Christians, we need to try and reach everyone that crosses our paths. We might get yelled at or cussed at but might also plant the seed that is able to lead them to Christ.
